Who do you know that was born 50+ years ago in Omaha and stayed here his whole life to build a career? Well, I'm sure there are many people, but I began my career in my early 20's at Millard Lumber -- as an estimator and Sales Representative to Contractors! Little did I know then that this job I held for several years would lead me into a larger field of Real Estate and representing a great Builder (KeithCarsonHomes.com) in the Omaha area who began his career in 1977!
I was encouraged to start building my own houses. So, I studied for my Real Estate License, breezed through the tests and built my first house for my first customer in 1982! (Incidentally, I just sold that house this past summer, 2010 for the PLEASED original owners who I built it for!) In about 1986, Don Groesser, (the Mayor of Ralston), Dick Hovorka (one of my favorite Mortgage Loan officers who works in our CBSHOME Office at 147th&Maple), and I opened a Real Estate Office called: ERA Partners in Progress! We learned the ins and outs of Real Estate then managing a couple dozen Realtors! Seeing that we were incredibly successful, we negotiated a deal with another large company here in town and merged with them. I was manager of one of their offices for several years before choosing to just service people and their real estate needs as YOUR REALTOR FOR LIFE, gaining many happy, satisfied clients!
